Born in 1976 in Åndalsnes (Møre- og Romsdal, on Norway´s northwest coast)
Young and ready for the wine world!
Jan-Erik started his waiter training in high school in 1996. After graduating he worked as a trainee at Statholdergaarden, where Annette & chef Bent Stiansen has been running one of Scandinavia’s best restaurants for many years.
After working at other top restaurants Jan-Erik took over the role of head sommelier – again at Statholdergaarden. Needless to say, Jan-Erik has a great love of wine, and his tasting talent is greatly respected by his colleagues.
Extreme knowledge about who is who and which dish is perfect to match the wine, and vice- versa.
He is the youngest member of the Better Wines staff, but so full of energy that he will truly soon surpass both me and Jan.
Call him, and he will be with you for a tasting right away. Jan- Erik is always ready for a new day with wine- and food.
Young, but when it comes to music, he can appear to be much older than his years. A fan of bands such as Springsteen, AC/DC and Zepplin.
Well, - it not the rock n` roll Jan-Erik we have employed, it the connoisseur, a young talented man that we believe will help us create Norway’s Best Wine Company.
